MY STORY

 

 

 

Systa Bjornsdottir is a detailed oriented Production Designer based in Milan Italy but born and raised in the north of Iceland. She has a degree from the University of Education in Iceland as an Art teacher and a degree from Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan in Scenography.

Over the years she has participated in various projects such as photo shooting, exhibitions, interior design, short films, films, commercials and has as well worked in theatre.

Systa has participated in three exhibitions at Design March in Iceland, the last one took place at the Icelandic Art Museum in 2022. She received in 2022 a recognition from the Icelandic Centre for Reserach in form of Artist's salary to work on a multi art exhibition. In 2023 she was nominated for the best production design for the Edda awards in Iceland

Her work in advertising includes collaboration with directors such as; Andre Stringer, Anders Hallberg, Alessandro D’alatri, Augusto De Fraga, Bart Timmer, Benito Montorio, Chris Balmond, Douglas Avery, Eli Sverdlov, Federico Brugia, Jason Harrington, Joe Roman, Jonathan Lennard, Joachim Back, Kasper Wedendahl, Laurence Dunmore, Luke Scott, Luca Maroni, Luigi Pane, Martin Werner, Matteo Bonifazio, Maarten Treurniet, Matthieu Mantovani, Matt Bussmann, Michael Haussman, Norman Bates,

Systa speaks Icelandic, English and Italian and has worked in different countries such as; Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Iceland, Greenland, US, England, South Africa, Thailand, Greece, Lituania, Chile, Argentina, Costa Rica, Morocco and Portugal.
